| | Model of the car: | Nissan Sentra | | | General comments: | We bought a 1993 Sentra in 1996 and drove it for 3 years. It was an awesome car. Never let us down. Liked it so much we bought a 1999. Going on 23,000 miles, and still no problems to report. Mileage is very good. I'm a 50-mile a day commuter, and usually get about 35 mpg. (Although I did even better with my 1993.)It's a compact car, and you can tell. But if you wanted a bigger car, you'd buy a bigger car, right? It's big enough for a compact, and the 5-speed has plenty of power (1.6L engine). Not quite as much as my 1993 had.My only other complaint about the 1999 is its turning radius isn't quite as good as my 1993. I could do a U-turn into an adjacent lane in my 1993. Nowadays I usually have to cross 2 or 3 lanes to make a U-turn.Paid $14,000 for my 1999, with lots of features. Paid $6500 for the 1993 when it was 3 years and 38,000 miles old.
