| | Model of the car: | Sentra SE | | | General comments: | I paid a little under $14K for mine, fully loaded. This is one advantage to waiting until toward the end of the year to purchase. I think that the Civic is a little nicer looking and has the reputation of being very reliable, but it is not worth the 3-4 thousand more for the same options. I was looking for something a little bit more sporty than the Toyota Corolla, and the only reason that I reason i did not choose the Saturn is because i have never had much luck with American cars. I am a recent college grad, and with this car, i am able to combine practicality and sportiness. It is very hard to find the 99's around anymore. I have checked out the redesigned 2000 Sentra and they are equally impressive. I would recommend checking them out toward the end of 2000 if you are interested. Right now there is a lot of hype for this car at the dealerships and in the media, so yu are less likely to get a good deal. The SE is better looking witht the additional options than the XE and GXE. The advantages to the latter are that they get better gas milage and the sticker is a little lower. I am happy with the choice i made for the time being.
