| | Model of the car: | Nissan Sentra SE | | | General comments: | I bought this car new ten months ago, and have put 10,000 miles on it. I have a 5-speed manual and the performance package with the 2.0 -145 horse power engine. It performs well when the engine is revved high, but lacks low rpm torque. At the time this car was a great choice. However, now the Altima has been redisgned (big price jump however), and many car makers have lowered their prices because of slow sales after the 9 | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | I would prefer a tighter shift pattern on the 5-speed. I did not want a spoiler, but it came in the package that had other things I wanted. The tires are cheap, but most new Japanese cars come with cheap tires. I took it to a remote desert to 100 + MPH to test the top speed, and does not handle as well as it should considering the claims of the suspension. | | | Previous car: | 1997 Toyota Corolla was a poor value (highly over-rated by brain washed Toyota zombies). 1986 Toyota Camry was ok. 1991 VW Jetta was a great car that handled better.
