Sentra SE-R Spec V

 Model of the car:Sentra SE-R Spec V
General comments:I used to have a 94' Toyota Celica ST. The engine was really weak (1.8l 4 cyl), and the 4-speed automatic only exacerbated that weakness, but the car handled really well, it looked great lowered (and with 17in rims), and it was the first car that I owned that only required me to simply add gas and drive it.

But, after three years of satisfied ownership, I found that required more power. I researched a bunch of cars: I really wanted a WRX, but it was just too ugly; Toyota’s new Celica is uglier than the WRX and no where near as powerful; the RSX was too small and looks like a modified Civic; the Tiburon was great looking, but I heard that they were mechanical nightmares, it's a Hyundai, and Korean, so I had to say no; the Mustang had the power I wanted but it was American (I refuse to buy American due to past experiences), a Ford, and EVERYWHERE, so I couldn't convince myself to buy one.

And then, by chance, I saw an add for the Sentra SE-R Spec V. I hadn't even considered a Nissan until then. When I test-drove it I was sold. It has a great deal of usable power, a 6-Speed manual transmission, the handling is better than my old, the interior is very well laid out, I can live with the styling, it has a huge trunk, and the price was just too good to pass up.

I have beat the piss out of this car (accelerating repeatedly into the 6200 RPM rev-limited cut off [which is a jarring experience], taken on-ramps at speeds between 70mph to 100mph, and dropped the clutch at some very high-speed RPM's [and managed to chirp the tires in third gear]) and it just keeps on ticking. I'm quite satisfied and would suggest it to anyone.
What things have gone wrong with the car:The stock stereo SUCKS!!!; A better feeling transmission; An interior that doesn't look quite so ECONOMY (my Celica made me feel like I was in a fighter cockpit).
 Previous car:Celica
